Job Description

Title: Senior Financial Analyst – HR & Benefits Finance

Location: Fremont, CA

Duration: 12+ months contract with possible extension

Pay rate: $80 to $90/hr on W2

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a seasoned financial professional to support HR Benefits and Corporate Legal teams with financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role is critical in driving data-informed decisions, ensuring compliance, and optimizing compensation and benefits programs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend Management: Lead compensation and fringe benefit forecasting and accruals. Maintain in-depth knowledge of HR and compensation programs to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a strategic finance partner to HR Benefits and Corporate Legal teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for financial consulting and analysis.
  • Reporting & Insights: Develop, maintain, and track key financial and operational metrics. Deliver actionable insights to executives and stakeholders.
  • Executive Support: Assist in preparing executive-level presentations and supporting schedules bi-quarterly.
  • Program Financial Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of the Expat program, North America fringe benefits, and other compensation-related programs in collaboration with HR teams.
  • Data Analysis & Recommendations: Analyze complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Compliance & Controls: Support SOX compliance testing and internal/external audit requirements as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance existing analysis templates and develop new tools in response to evolving business needs.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide timely financial analysis and insights for special projects and executive requests.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), preferably in a complex or matrixed organization.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and investment analysis.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and corporate finance principles.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
