About the RoleWe’re hiring a Recruiter – Portfolio Staffing Specialist to play a critical role in supporting our startup founders with sourcing, screening, and scheduling talent across key functions (Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and more).
This is a full-cycle recruiting role focused on volume, velocity, and precision across early- to mid-career hires. You will be working closely with Initio Capital's Operating Partners, portfolio founders, and internal talent systems to ensure fast and high-quality placements.
What You’ll DoSource: Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, Workwolf, Serra, and our in-house database to proactively identify qualified candidates across technical and non-technical roles
Screen: Conduct brief phone screens and assessments to evaluate fit, experience, and candidate intent
Schedule: Manage interview coordination between founders and candidates, ensuring a seamless experience
Collaborate: Partner with Hiring Managers and Operating Partners across multiple startups to understand role requirements, ICPs, and timeline expectations
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records and real-time visibility within our ATS and Slack ecosystem
Candidate Experience: Act as a brand ambassador for Initio and our portfolio companies, ensuring top-tier candidate communication and professionalism
2+ years of experience in recruiting or staffing (in-house or agency)
Exceptional communicator with strong organizational skills
Comfortable managing multiple requisitions across fast-paced environments
Experience sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and recruiting platforms
Tech-savvy and comfortable with ATS tools (e.g., Workwolf, Serra, Paraform, Greenhouse)
Passionate about startups, venture ecosystems, and supporting founders
Bonus: Prior experience staffing for VC-backed startups or in a talent network
