Job Description

Our client, a premier global firm located in downtown Denver, is seeking a Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join its dynamic and progressive litigation practice group. This team works collaboratively and cooperatively in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of general commercial and/or employment litigation experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides intermediate to advanced level legal administrative assistance required for the support of the firm and/or attorneys
  • Performs intermediate to advanced level clerical and administrative tasks including time entry; new business intake; drafting/preparing/revising legal documents, letters, memos; invoices; billing reports; expense reports or correspondence for attorneys
  • Prepares documents for e-filing and files documents with appropriate courts or other administrative agencies
  • Ability to prepare notebooks, exhibits and closing binders
  • Proofreads to ensure accuracy of formatting, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and intermediate to advanced content in all documents, communications, and reports
  • Coordinates scheduling of and assists in preparing for appointments, meetings, and conferences; provides support to attorneys, clients, and visitors in office

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with, or ability to learn, software programs(s) used by the firm for conflicts and new business intake, recordkeeping, timekeeping and billing, document management and workflow
  • Intermediate to advanced word processing skills
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of legal, clerical, and court systems
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks including delegation of tasks when appropriate
  • Detail oriented and professional demeanor
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 7 years of general commercial or employment litigation experience within a law firm
