Position Overview
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Special Education Teacher to work with students remotely, helping them meet their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. This is a full-time position offering the chance to make a real difference in students' lives while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

Key Details

Role: Remote Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Through the 2024-2025 school year
Renewal: High potential for renewal for the 2025-2026 school year
Employment Type: 1099 Contract (independent contractor)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Licensing Requirement

Active Oregon Special Education Teaching Certification

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students onsite, working with K-12 grade levels
Proven experience with IEPs and 504 plans
Familiarity with virtual learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar tools
Professional liability insurance (must be obtained upon offer)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to foster positive relationships with students and create an engaging virtual classroom environment
Problem-solving skills and adaptability to support diverse student needs
Proficiency in educational software and digital tools
A genuine passion for supporting students' academic growth and success
