Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFocusKPI is looking for aData Scientist &Engineer (SAP)to work onour company’s internal projects.Our internal team is looking for a Data Scientist with a Data Engineering background and prior experience with SAP skills. This person needs to develop and optimize data architectures that support business intelligence, predictive analytics, and AI/ML applications. This role involves designing and structuring data pipelines that connect SAP, Databricks, and Microsoft CRM, enabling trend analysis, forecasting models, and AI-driven insights.The focus is not just onETL pipelinesbut onbuilding a feature storerather than traditional data models.This role requires a deep understanding of how data should be organized to support efficient reporting, historical trend analysis, and advanced analytics.Given our global operations, fluency in both English and Chinese is highly beneficial.Work Location:Remote - anywhere in the USDuration:9+ months contractPay Range:$50+/hr (on basis of experience level)**No C2C profiles are accepted**Responsibilities:Use machine learning and AI techniques (e.g., predictive models, uplift models, personalization models, and NLP tools) to solve complex problems and drive business decisionsBuild a data pipeline for model development, including gathering and building datasets, cleaning messy data, identifying assumptions, and designing a feedback loop on data needsWork in an agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other data scientists, engineers, and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviorsAssist Senior Strategy Analysts and Senior Data Scientists in project management of strategic initiativesImplement and validate predictive models as well as create and maintain statistical models with a focus on big dataWrite comprehensive and accurate model development documentation; create presentations and financial models to communicate new strategic ideas for internal departmentsExplain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with business problemsSolve analytical problems, and effectively communicate methodologies and results both in writing and verballyBuild business intelligence dashboards for internal leaders and stakeholders to track key performance indicatorsPartner with cross-functional team to streamline data science solutionsQualifications:PhD or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Data ScienceMinimum of 4-5 years of experience in data science, building hands-on ML models, measurement, marketing strategy, and data analyticsStrong proficiency in data processing usingPythonand libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learnProficient inSQLand relational databasesExperience working withlarge datasetsExperience developing natural processing (NLP) modelsExperience withMLOps (e.g., Airflow)In-depth understanding ofMachine Learning and AIalgorithms, and model evaluationGood understanding ofSAPandCRM data.
