We are in search of a Controller to join our team based in Belen, New Mexico. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, including purchase orders and employee expense reports.

• Manage accounts receivable activities, ensuring the timely submission of invoices and accuracy of aging reports.

• Supervise the preparation of monthly financial statements and conduct thorough analysis.

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely dissemination of financial reports, both internally and externally.

• Collaborate with external CPAs, providing necessary corporate information and discussing matters related to corporate tax filings.

• Implement systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, enhancing company value.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, implementing necessary personnel actions.

• Stay updated with organizational policies and procedures, federal and state tax directives, and current accounting standards.

• Oversee employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, and payroll tasks.

• Provide senior management with advice on short and long-term financial metrics and trends.

• Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role or in the field of finance.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and aging reports.
• Extensive experience in creating and managing an annual budget.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Demonstrated experience in creating and managing purchase orders.
• Strong understanding and application of financial metrics.
• Experience in managing payroll processes.
• Previous involvement in conducting an annual internal audit.
• Expertise in financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
