Position Summary: As a Wellness Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they receive the best care possible. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.'s (Resident Services Assistants). Assist in managing the medication program and support residents with self-administration of medication. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Report significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director. Assist in conducting resident assessments and crafting personalized service plans. Support clinical assessments and recertification in line with ALSA requirements. Collaborate with the Resident Services Director on staffing and performance management. Participate in training and orientation of new staff members. Engage in in-service training, education programs, and team meetings. Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants when necessary. Provide coaching and mentoring to the Resident Services Department staff as needed. Support residents and their families to maintain high levels of satisfaction. Aid in supervising RSA staff during care activities. Perform other duties as assigned to support department needs. Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification: Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the appropriate state(s). Current Basic First Aid and CPR certification. Minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience or equivalent. Preferred experience in assisted living or long-term care settings. Genuine interest and experience in working with seniors.
