The User Experience Researcher (UXR) will collaborate directly with game and app development teams to translate their needs and goals into comprehensive research plans. These plans will primarily involve usability tests and playtests, but may also include surveys, all aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of consumer needs and the user journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write detailed research plans for playtests.
• Coordinate with recruiting teams to identify suitable participants.
• Moderate the studies and synthesize findings.
• Present findings to stakeholders.
• Design and write survey questions.
• Program surveys using internal tools or Qualtrics.
• Source potential respondents via SQL or external vendors.
• Analyze data using R or SPSS, with available support.
• Compile and present comprehensive reports.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in moderating user research sessions and usability testing.
• Ability to convert qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights.
• Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in video game user research.
• Expertise in survey design and implementation.
• Background in the entertainment, media, or music publishing industries.
• Familiarity with research agencies, particularly those specializing in entertainment/media.
• Experience in app development user research.
• VR user research experience.
• Passion for video games and/or VR (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in data analysis and modeling using R or SPSS.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of user research experience.

Location : Remote ( Los Angeles, CA)

Role type: Contract 12 Month Position
