Job Requirements

• BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Verification
• UAP;Department: CVOR Tech
• 2 years of CVOR experience, open hearts, CABG, Valves
• MUST be able to first scrub
• MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR
• Staff must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter

Schedule Information

• Shifts & Scheduling: 0645-1515 M-F, start at 6a for Open Heart Case Prep
• OT opportunity, CV team lead will make schedule
• Weeknight Call Requirements: 3-4 times per week, 1515-0645
• Weekend Call Requirements: every other to every third weekend, Fri at 1515 to Mon at 0645
• Holiday/Call Requirements: rotating holidays
• Call response time: 15 minutes, 8 hour reprieve shifts for post call, sleep room available
• Floating Requirements: ability to pick up extra for 1:1 sitting

Unit Specific Information

• # of Suites: 2 CVOR suites
• Average # of cases per day: 1-3
• Common Cases: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers
• Experience/Must have skills: MUST BE WILLING to cross train to other OR specialties

Additional Details

• Days - Guaranteed 32hr/week, scheduled 40hr/week - 8hr shifts M-F 0645-1515 (6a for open heart cases), with call
• Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
