Our client, a leading organization in the payroll processing industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary Payroll Specialist

Location: Iron Mountain, MI (Hybrid: M-Wed in office, Th/Fri Remote)

Pay Range: $25-$27/hr

What's the Job?

• Process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees.
• File federal and state payroll taxes.
• Upload retirement plan and HSA contributions.
• Track wage changes per union contract.
• Manage FMLA time and maintain employee files in the ERP system.

What's Needed?

• Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum three years of office experience in Accounting with one year of payroll experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll processing.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work with individuals throughout the organization.
