Job Description

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our diverse technology infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires expertise in various technologies, including Windows, Linux, Nutanix, VMware, Checkmk, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, SCCM, AWS, and PagerDuty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Virtualization: Manage and optimize VMware and Nutanix environments.
  • Monitoring: Utilize Checkmk, LogicMonitor, and SolarWinds to monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing issues.
  • Configuration Management: Implement and manage SCCM for software distribution and patch management.
  • Cloud Services: Manage AWS resources, ensuring efficient and secure cloud operations.
  • Incident Response: Use PagerDuty for incident management and response, ensuring timely resolution of system issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and business units to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Linux, Nutanix, VMware, Checkmk, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, SCCM, AWS, and PagerDuty.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
