We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role will involve coordinating and collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, production, sales and customer service, to ensure a seamless supply chain process. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will take on strategic buying responsibilities, focusing on optimizing procurement processes and supplier relationships to drive cost savings and value creation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate in the Frontmatec lean journey by participating in DMS, Kaizen and doing Problem solving (Implement continuous improvement and innovation processes).
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers, ensuring that the best total network cost. Contracts will include such items, as discounts, payment terms, shipping terms, stocking agreements, quality parameters, service requirements, supply chain connections and other items deemed valuable.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals (engagement, health and safety, etc).
  • All other duties assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Experience in strategic buying and procurement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft AX, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills-both internally and externally
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Travel up to 5% of the time-domestic and international (Must meet Canada travel requirements)
