About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join a fully remote team. In this role, you will work with students to help them achieve their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals, ensuring their growth and academic success.

Key Details

Position Type: Fully remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Remainder of the 2024/2025 school year
Potential for Renewal: High likelihood of renewal for the 2025/2026 school year
Contract Type: 1099 (independent contractor)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

A valid Oregon State Special Education Teaching Certification
At least 2 years of experience teaching K-12 students onsite
Experience developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
Proficiency with virtual learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar tools
Professional liability insurance (to be obtained upon offer)
Strong communication and organizational skills
The ability to create a positive and engaging virtual classroom environment
Problem-solving skills and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Familiarity with educational software and tools
A genuine passion for helping students succeed academically

What You'll Do

Collaborate with students, parents, and school staff to ensure IEP goals are met
Create engaging, interactive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
Use technology creatively to foster an effective learning environment
Monitor and document student progress regularly
