General Information: Our Hitachi Energy System Engineering group is responsible for designing, Implementing, and maintaining the Energy Market Management systems and environments. The Platform Software Engineer leads the development, maintenance, support, provisioning, configuration, security and operations of platform software used by market applications. This position requires strong coding, problem solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide technical leadership for system and other development teams. Hitachi Energy is looking for a platform software engineer who can maintain legacy enterprise software services including the design and implementation of new features and bug fixes. Your Responsibilities: Support, monitor and troubleshoot platform deployments ensuring proper execution and performance Support project build teams ensuring proper platform features are delivered Research, design, develop, and maintain upgrade requests from R&D, customers, other development groups as well as your own Support the creation/maintenance of platform regression test procedures including standalone and highly available systems Define and follow advanced Cyber Security controls and processes as they relate to platform software Keep platform documents updated to reflect latest platform software Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
