Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of IT experience in Database Administration
Financial Industry experience is required
Experience with Oracle Relational Database Management System on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 7/8
Must have experience Oracle database optimization for hybrid data processing
Must have experience with CyberArk, Red Hat OpenShift, Autosys and ServiceNow

Desired Skills & Experience

Prefer experience with PostgresSQL, SQL Server and MySQL
Prefer experience with NOSQL Database

What You Will Be Doing

Provide Application Database Administration support to the entire Reference Data team for its enhancements.
Ensure availability and performance tuning of the databases that support the system.
Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
Provide trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team.
