We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Federal Budget Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert budgetary and financial management support to our federal clients. This role requires a deep understanding of federal budgeting processes, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

**Your future duties and responsibilities:**

Provide expert advice and guidance on federal budget formulation, execution, and reporting processes.

Develop and implement technical solutions for budget business use cases as part of a cross-functional team

Develop and implement budget strategies that align with the client's mission and objectives.

Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support budgetary decisions.

Prepare budget justifications, presentations, and reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Monitor and track budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure budget alignment with program goals and priorities.

Stay current with federal budget policies, regulations, and best practices.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior budget analysts and consultants.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role:**

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in federal budgeting, financial management, or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of federal budget processes, including formulation, execution, and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-financial stakeholders.

Proficiency in financial management software and tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or similar certification is a plus.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $209,100.00.
