Alongside our practical work, we explore interdisciplinary research and introspective critique to facilitate theoretical discourse, aiming to design innovative and compassionate works that serve communities better.

This leadership role is vital to our design team. You will influence and develop the firm’s design philosophy and oversee projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of designers to complete technical documents.
  2. Prepare, coordinate, and finalize construction documentation packages.
  3. Oversee daily construction administration activities, coordinating with contractors, owners, and consultants to ensure project progress.
  4. Mentor and supervise junior staff.
  5. Develop and implement project work plans and staffing strategies.
  6. Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning needs.
  7. Collaborate with teams to establish goals, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect in California.
  • 10+ years of experience managing, designing, and detailing high-end residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of San Francisco and Berkeley planning and building codes.
  • Technical expertise in relevant project types.
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal, written, and graphic forms.
  • Proficiency in Revit and Rhino is preferred; AutoCAD experience is acceptable.
