Position Title: School Bus Driver
Location(s):
- Flex Driver- multiple locations
Reports To: Transportation Coordinator / School Principal
F.T.E: 0.5 | Regular Part Time
Salary: $21-$25/hour
Start Date: January 2025

Position Description:

Distinctive Schools is looking for a Part-Time Bus Driver that will share a commitment to ensuring that every child is transported safely and receives support to ensure their full potential:

• Pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at school and designated after-school location

• Transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting event

• Perform trips for other schools within the network, such as covering for routes, school field trips, extracurricular activities, and after-school programs.

• Must be reasonably expected to travel distances of up to 100 miles and remain seated in a behind-the-wheel position for extended periods of time.

• Willingness to work a split shift with varying hours and maintain a flexible schedule (i.e., morning route, afternoon route, field trips in between).

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must possess physical ability to perform all required work

• Maintain a professional relationship with supervisors, staff, parents, students and the public

• Work independently and in teams to complete job duties and assignments in a timely manner with limited supervision

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B) Required

• ( P ) Passenger Endorsement, ( S ) School Bus Endorsement

• School Bus Permit ( SBP ) required

• Successful background check

• Good driving skills and record

• Must be able to pass a Physical and DOT Drug Screening
