Experienced, well-known and respected political journalist is seeking to hire a Research/Executive Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for meeting deadlines, working independently, managing a daily calendar and interfacing with the public. This candidate will possess a passion for political news gathering and media. Familiarity and experience with podcast production paired with social media engagement is preferred. This candidate will be based in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities include:

- Working intimately with the Principal to set internal goals and spearhead the reach, scope and success of all work products including a podcast(s), a book, public appearances and various business, academic and non-profit ventures.

- Maintain and coordinate the principal’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.

- Act as a liaison between the principal and internal/external stakeholders, managing correspondence and communications effectively.

- Maintain and optimize internal systems for time tracking, project management, and public communications.

- Create regular reports on performance metrics and flag issues requiring immediate attention.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 per year
