WOAK 90.9 FM (oakside.org) is a local community Christian station with a listening area of 80,000+, as well as an online presence 24/7. Our programming consists of 50% music (inspirational praise & worship, & some southern gospel) and 50% programming, featuring shows such as Charles Stanley, Adrian Rogers, David Jeremiah, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, James Dobson's Family Talk, Adventures in Odyssey, and Unshackled. We are currently seeking a new manager to help improve our website and programming. Our tower collapsed in fall of 2020, but insurance has settled, and we are relocating to another tower. We aim to update some programming and continue to add fresh music. The ideal candidate will have management experience and strong organizational skills. He/she should know how, or be willing to learn, how to program and build clocks into the system. Acquiring new churches and sponsors is also important. A good judgment of balanced music and programming is vital. The station operates under the umbrella of Oakside Baptist Church, along with its pastor and trustees. We are very friendly in the community and envision an advisory board for more community input. Salary is $25K - $30K based on experience, with bonuses given as new sponsors are signed on.
