Job Description

Civil/Environmental Engineer - Water/Wastewater Focus

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater Engineering Team in Orange County, California . This role will support a variety of infrastructure projects involving treatment facilities, conveyance systems, and water resources planning . You'll work alongside a collaborative team of engineers and scientists to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions for public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design and analysis for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.
  • Support planning studies, system modeling, and alternative evaluations.
  • Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Conduct data analysis, hydraulic modeling, and field investigations.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits.
  • Participate in pilot testing, equipment evaluations, and field data collection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project meetings and client communications.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
  • Experience with municipal utility projects in California is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydraulic Modeling Software (e.g., InfoWater, WaterCAD, SewerCAD) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving techniques.
