SeshNYC is seeking a professional Part-Time Armed Security Guard to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a secure and compliant environment in our licensed cannabis dispensary. The ideal candidate has experience in armed security, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of ID verification and cannabis regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and verify government-issued IDs using scanning equipment

• Monitor dispensary entrance and exit points to prevent unauthorized access

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the dispensary

• Deter theft, respond to disturbances, and manage security incidents

• Write clear, detailed incident and daily activity reports

• Ensure compliance with all state and local cannabis laws and regulations

• Collaborate with dispensary staff to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Valid armed security guard license (must meet state requirements for cannabis facilities)

• Minimum 1 year of prior armed security experience required

• Previous experience in cannabis, retail, or high-risk environments a plus

• Strong observational and communication skills

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening

• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
