Summary:

Are you passionate about women's health and ready to make a difference? As a Nurse Midwife, you will play a vital role in managing comprehensive women's health care. Your focus will be on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and the gynecologic needs of women. You will provide direct services to low-to-moderate risk obstetrical and gynecological patients while adhering to established policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' histories and interpret test results with a high degree of independence.
• Collaborate with physician colleagues to diagnose and manage patient care using established guidelines.
• Lead the healthcare team by providing expert advice to case managers, nurses, physicians, and social workers.
• Communicate findings and care plans effectively to the healthcare team through progress notes and discussions.
• Monitor and follow up on test results and patient responses to treatments.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans as needed, collaborating with physicians when necessary.
• Identify educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education in collaboration with staff.
• Advocate for patients and families, encouraging their active participation in decision-making.
• Track clinical performance outcomes to ensure quality care.
• Perform advanced procedures as per verified competency.
• Assess learning capabilities and customize education to meet diverse needs.
• Utilize effective teaching materials and document patient outcomes.
• Design and implement educational programs for patients and families.
• Share advanced knowledge and skills with patients, families, and staff at various levels.
• Maintain accurate and clear documentation in accordance with established protocols.
• Engage in self-assessment and peer reviews to identify areas for growth.
• Participate in educational activities to enhance your competency and maintain licensure.

Requirements:

Education/Skills:

• Master of Science in Nursing

Experience:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• NRP
• APRN License in the state of employment
• BLS
• CNM
