As an NDT II Inspector , you’ll perform accurately and in compliance with the industry standards and regulations while being familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used.

 

What you’ll do :

  • Set up and calibrate non-destructing testing equipment in accordance with the industry requirements.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection. 
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. 
  • Organize and report test results. 
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience with FPI method.
  • Understands the application of the tools at hand to ensure the efficiency and quality of inspections. 
  • Communicates, speaks and writes clearly and informatively.

  • Work in or near industrial hazards.
  • Ability to train in 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college is desirable.
  • ASNT NDT Certification, or equivalent certifiable training. Candidate must present proof of class and/or OJT training.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
