JOB OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Manager is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive marketing initiatives across digital, social, and traditional channels. This includes managing agency relationships (digital and social media), optimizing website content and SEO, driving direct bookings, developing and maintaining marketing collateral, coordinating internal communication needs, and fostering strategic partnerships. The manager will analyze performance data, generate reports for leadership, and ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms, contributing to the resort's overall market presence and revenue goals.
REPORTS TO: VP of Sales and Marketing
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Front Office team, Sales and Marketing team, Special Events team, all Resort Managers, and Executive Offices.
External: Resort & Resident guests/visitors, Digital Marketing and Social Media agencies, marketing departments at Travel and Tour Companies, Meeting Planners and Partner Contacts, Marketing contacts at luxury consumer companies and dot coms.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management.
- Fluency in English. Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Excellent knowledge of company's products, and selling skills.
- Excellent time management, communications, decision making, human relations, presentation and organization skills.
- Ability to:

Physical Abilities
Essential:
- 1. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- 2. General office environment. Travel is required.
- 3. Hotel sales office experience, on property preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare and maintain marketing timeline for resort, spa and F&B outlets as per Marketing Plan.
- Maintain and assist with the development of Acqualina’s web site content and SEO program to include key words; reports; reputation management tool etc. Ensure key offerings are well positioned. Audit Website content regularly
- Ensure all marketing efforts promote website booking engine and drive direct business.
- Analyze reporting from digital marketing agency with VP of Sales and Marketing to gain knowledge on ROAS per segment and channel, and challenge agency to provide insights for better returns.
- Review the placement of all packages and promotions to determine which ones are most effective. Use sub-market report results. Create new packages that drive room nights and or garner publicity coverage in synchrony with marketing timeline.
- Become familiar with all partner marketing programs and determine how Acqualina can leverage its affiliation and which ones deliver good ROI. Also assist with all partnership and marketing placements.
- Learn how packages are built in Opera and SynXis as well as the routing system set up for each department to receive their revenue portion.
- Serve as the key contact for content development on all internet partnership websites/links to include Leading Hotels Core Marketing Programs, LC Members, OTAs, Virtuoso.com, etc.
- Ensure to send Social Media agency guest reviews on monthly basis to be posted on social platforms.
- Analyze social media data via Sprout Social and revert findings during bi-weekly sync calls with social media agency.
- Coordinate the delivery, revision and approval by VP of Sales and Marketing, of monthly social media content calendar.
- Manage and maintain healthy discussion with Social Media agency. Aim to increase follower count and focus on protecting the brand image, always representing Acqualina in its best light.
- Maintain the marketing collateral binder and PowerPoint presentation. Help with the press clips binder/PowerPoint as needed.
- Assist distribution new articles to all Acqualina team members via the Acqualina App. Post about new offerings, promotions and awards weekly or as news become available.
- Coordinate the design and delivery of promotional email blasts as outlined on the marketing communication/timeline plans.
- Maintain database lists. Update op outs. Provide Digital Marketing agency with updated database list on quarterly basis for improvement of lookalike audience.
- Assist with the development of marketing events.
- Coordinate with VP of Sales and Marketing and VP of Communications hosting media visits and assist solicit journalist stays from key publications (when needed)
- Introduce the resort to local key influencers and support VP of Communication with regards to media visits as needed.
- Maintain shared folders organized and up to date. Ensure fact sheets, selling points, presentations are updated with outlet names, hours of operations, descriptions and any other update as it becomes available.
- Maintain Branding Guidelines updated and ensure all departments are respecting it when designing/printing.
- Serve as a key liaison for internal marketing needs, coordinating directly with the CEO and relevant department heads to ensure alignment of messaging and promotional activities.
- Create summary marketing messages to convey announcements of new hotel happenings/events, notice of awards won, and new packages and promotions etc.
- Ensure Blog page is well maintained, and internal and external backlinks are created on all posts (internal backlinks drive traffic internally, external backlinks help with organic positioning)
- Prepare weekly marketing meetings with follow-up items and updates on marketing timeline. Prepare weekly and monthly reports to be sent to VP of Sales and Marketing and CEO.
- Prepare and maintain FAQs on Acqualina.com
- Maintain an updated matrix of website and portals Acqualina is featured, and ensure the websites are audited quarterly. When changes (ie nomenclature, change in restaurant, etc) occur, use the matrix to ensure all portal reflect updated information.
- Coordinate and supervise promotional photoshoots and film shoots to include B Roll. Support CEO and VP of Sales and Marketing on photoshoot/video shoot coordination as needed.
- Capture photos and videos of the property, events, activities and activations as needed.
- Work closely with The Leading Hotels of the World PR and Marketing teams, GMCVB and Sunny Isles Hotel Association Marketing departments.
- Prepare newsletter content and copy.
- Participate in key local events as needed.
- Whenever an event occurs on property, or has been organized by Acqualina, attendance is mandatory to capture images, videos and converse with attendees sharing knowledge and insights with VP of Sales and Marketing and CEO on follow marketing meeting.
- Alongside VP of Sales and Marketing, prepare yearly strategy and actions for marketing plan, and ensure proper management of timelines and initiatives throughout the year.
- Assist with the redevelopment, launch and data analysis of gift cards and e-cards.
- Serve as point person for philanthropic activities i.e. I Have A Dream Charity.
- Ipalapa, MComm & Intellity. Be a champion on all consumer facing platforms and interfaces. Know how to update all items (photos/text) and audit the contents on monthly basis. Drive the process and take ownership of internal marketing ensuring content is up to date.
- Spend time getting to know Acqualina team members and help identify brand ambassadors, to capitalize on their passion and help push brand messages internally and externally.
- Accept additional responsibilities as needed.
