WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Med Surg for a local contract nursing job in Fishkill, New York.

Our client, one of the largest non-profit OPWDD organizations in New York, specializing in care for IDD adult patients diagnosed with varying degrees of cerebral palsy, is looking to hire an RN. In this role, the RN will provide support for new-day habilitation facility in Dutchess County. This is a temp to perm role. 

Job Function:

• Day Shift
• Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

• The RN will be providing medication administration.

• Working with mutli disciplinary team.

• RN will be stationed at this worksite and provide patient care to up to 50 adult patients.

Job Requirements:

• New York State RN License
• Willingness to work with IDD population and be flexible with scheduling
• OPWDD or I/DD exp of 1 yr
• Flexible schedule offered but nurse will be responsible for creating their weekly schedule; schedule would be M-F 30 hr work week
• Nurse will be required to stay on site until shift change is completed and staff nurse is able to come setup his or her work day
• Willingness to work with a multidisciplinary team and communicate with patient family members
• RN will also be required to check on patients post-medication administration to see how patient is responding to medications and daily checks on medication inventory
