JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $18.00 $21.00 per hour

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position facilitates staging, loading, and material handling used in the process of preparing steel fabrication product mix for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of loading techniques and have high attention to detail.

• Perform the required duties with the safety of self, fellow workers and the receiving parties in mind and quality as the top priority
• Required to check off all material unloading and/or loading
• Report any safety or quality concerns to Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately
• Unload and load trucks and trailers
• Load customers
• Move material from Purlin Mill to staging area

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• A minimum of one (1) year forklift operation
• Ability to think outside the box
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Willing to learn

*Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. **Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
