We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and motivated Kosher, Vegan Chef to prepare nutritious, delicious, and health-conscious meals for a family of 8 in Bal Harbour. The ideal candidate will have experience in kosher and vegan cuisine and demonstrate a passion for creating balanced meals that cater to a variety of dietary needs. The position involves preparing all meals for the family, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and managing grocery shopping for ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for a family of 8, ensuring that all meals are vegan and kosher. This includes developing menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences.
Grocery Shopping: Handle all grocery shopping, ensuring that ingredients are fresh, of high quality, and meet kosher and vegan standards.
Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, including proper food storage and cleanliness following all health and safety guidelines.
Meal Planning: Develop weekly meal plans that align with the family’s nutritional goals, preferences, and kosher dietary laws.
Dietary Restrictions: Ensure that meals are prepared in accordance with any specific dietary restrictions or preferences (e.g., gluten-free, nut-free, etc.).
Inventory Management: Keep track of pantry supplies and groceries to minimize waste and ensure the kitchen is always well-stocked.
Cooking for Special Events: Occasionally prepare meals for special occasions or guests, adhering to kosher and vegan guidelines.
Collaboration with Family: Work closely with the family to understand their food preferences and offer suggestions for new recipes and meal ideas.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a chef, specifically with kosher and vegan cuisine.
In-depth knowledge of kosher laws and vegan dietary practices.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on creating balanced, nutritious, and flavorful meals.
Ability to plan and execute meals that accommodate specific dietary restrictions.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Previous experience in a private chef or family setting is a plus.
A passion for healthy, sustainable, and delicious food.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally in a private family environment.
Working Hours:
5 days per week (specific schedule to be determined).
Flexibility required for special occasions or events
