The Journeyman Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Three (3) years of experience as a Journeyman in the electrical field is required.
• On the job training provided.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
• Must possess journeyman electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Five (5) years of experience as an electrician is preferred.
• Prior experience as electrician in an industrial or commercial setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site
• Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature
• Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
• Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings
• Install, inspect and test electrical systems
• Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring
• Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately to perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
• Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson
• Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components
