Job Description:

• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors and serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues that arise
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track project progress, performance, and budget adherence
• Allocate resources effectively, manage project teams, and ensure all team members are aligned with project goals
• Provide regular and timely updates throughout the pre-planning process and project execution to customers, jobsite contacts, vendors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Review project budgets consistently, approve expenditures, identify opportunities for cost savings, and negotiate with vendors to optimize job profit margins
• Ensure all documents such as Purchase Requisitions, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, and vendor contracts are accurate, and properly maintained throughout the project
• Ensure transportation assets are ordered and scheduled according to the established plan
• Submit for invoicing accurate and timely project close out report within 48 hours of job completion
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Cultivate contacts with vendors to obtain information about future vendor developments to grow opportunities for Colossal
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and report to leadership as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of freight forwarding and project logistics experience required
• Rail transportation logistics required (ocean, air, truck, etc. a plus)
• International (North American) transportation and logistics preferred
• Overdimensional and/or oversized cargo experienced highly preferred
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required
