Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers with their food selections, handle transactions, and maintain a clean and organized service area. Duties

• Provide high standard of customer service to Retail Teams at all times
• Ensure full compliance of all company policies and procedures that pertain to the ongoing operation of the Central Kitchen facility
• Clean and cut all fresh produce for use in salads, platters and other products
• Ensure execution of cleaning and sanitation practices that are in strict accordance with policies and procedures
• Ensure proper Health and Safety practices are adhered to in an effort towards optimizing efficiency, work safety and food safety
• Follow on paper recipes to ensure the batches are all made proper and the same.
• Participate in the ongoing effort to improve business practices of the Central Kitchen facility
• Participate in product distribution to retail outlets in strict accordance with policies and procedures to ensure a high standard of presentation, quality and food safety at all times
• May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with menu selections.
• Process customer orders efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service area, including dining spaces and food preparation zones.
• Ensure all food items are stocked and presented attractively.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.

Skills

• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience in a food service retail or production operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions and carry out initiatives in a timely and effective manner
• Team oriented approach to tasks
• Detail oriented as it pertains to execution of daily tasks
• Positive outlook with a history of proven dependability and commitment
• Willingness to strictly adhere to company policies and procedures with little supervision
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and equipment, including knife handling
• High standards of cleanliness and order
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Work Environment:
• ¨ Required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment during shift
• ¨ Ability to work in a cool environment for prolonged periods of time
• Physical/Sensory Effort:
• ¨ Required to lift, carry and/or handle heavy objects
• Required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties
• Retail sales experience is preferred to enhance customer interactions.
• Strong customer service skills to provide an exceptional dining experience.
