**Job Title: Field Technician**
**Job Description**
The position of a Catalyst Technician (Tech B) is responsible for day-to-day activities performed in client facilities, including both inert and non-inert confined space entry atmospheres. The technician will work towards project goals related to quality, productivity, and service, while ensuring a safe working environment. All business must be conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism in all dealings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Participate as a team member in all rescue operations.
+ Work in immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry conditions.
+ Operate and maintain all company-owned or rented vehicles professionally.
+ Maintain a clean environment and report unusual findings in vessels, such as fused catalyst or hot spots.
+ Unload and load tubular vessels.
+ Adhere to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements.
+ Load catalyst beds.
+ Assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment and trailers.
+ Support supervisors by keeping work areas clear and free of obstructions.
+ Learn the proper function and usage of Life Support equipment and its safety factors.
+ Wear Life Support equipment on non-inert confined space entries and gain experience in its usage and safety.
+ Operate retrieval devices and multi-gas portable monitors.
+ Monitor surroundings and dangers associated with entering confined spaces.
+ Follow all company Quality Control/Quality Assurance procedures and processes.
+ Perform skills necessary for confined space entries (non-inert).
+ Maintain poise and focus under time constraints and adverse conditions.
+ Attend and complete training as required by the company and client.
+ Pass all required compliance.

**Work Environment**
Work in the field at different oil/gas refineries, assisting with the cleaning and reapplication of equipment within refineries. These are very industrial environments with stringent safety standards. Projects could be located in Alaska, California, or Washington state, at various refineries that hire our company to perform third-party duties.

This is a Permanent position based out of Long Beach, California.
