Job Description

My client is seeking an eDiscovery Staff Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of eDiscovery experience, including discovery project management and leading and advising on eDiscovery strategy, to join their growing team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented and sophisticated work environment with industry experts. This is a non-partnership track position.

This role is a hybrid in-office / remote work schedule to provide our attorneys greater flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including oversight of document hosting and review vendors, document collection, review, and production.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective discovery and compliance strategies and manage the day-to-day operations throughout the discovery lifecycle.
  • Leverage technology / AI tools to assist clients in all phases of discovery, from preservation and collection to review and production of large volumes of data.
  • Advise on best practices and emerging trends in e-discovery, data privacy, and information governance.
  • Draft and respond to discovery-related documents including format of production specifications and appropriate objections, motions and pleadings.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior attorneys, contract attorneys, and staff on discovery issues.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations affecting discovery practices.

Education & Bar Admission:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Legal Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in litigation , corporate law, or relevant practice area.
  • Prior experience as a Staff Attorney, Associate, or similar role at a large law firm.

Practice Area Expertise:

  • Strong background in document review, eDiscovery, legal research, or contract analysis.
  • Familiarity with litigation, regulatory matters, or transactional law (depending on firm practice area).

Technical & eDiscovery Skills (if applicable):

  • Proficiency with Relativity OR Everlaw
  • Experience managing large-scale document reviews and productions.

Legal Research & Writing:

  • Strong legal research skills using Westlaw, LexisNexis , or similar databases.
  • Ability to draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents.
