JOB SUMMARY
The primary goal of the eDiscovery Analyst role is to support the technical aspects of the Legal Hold and eDiscovery processes. This position serves as the technical resource for the systems used to identify, preserve and collect custodial data used in litigation and compliance matters.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the custodian email journaling process ensuring email data is preserved in accordance with a Legal Hold
Act as liaison with counsel, paralegals, IT, and eDiscovery vendors regarding technical aspects of eDiscovery
Consult/advise attorneys and investigators on how to best use litigation support technologies
Provide clear direction and advice to IT professionals to ensure that key objectives for eDiscovery and litigation are met
Tracks and controls data collection activity
Ensure structured and unstructured data is preserved appropriately
Research and collect custodial data as required
Serve as a liaison to structured data owners (systems) as to where data resides and how it is preserved
Serve as the administrator for the Nuix/Glass and Proofpoint data collections tools
Assist in coordinating and advising all eDiscovery partners on preferred methods and best practices of organizing and automating eDiscovery practices in litigation and compliance matters
Keep abreast of current best-practices, emerging technologies and solutions in the context of eDiscovery and Legal Hold
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders with all internal and external parties involved
Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of the eDiscovery services
Troubleshoot, research, diagnose, and resolve reported incidents and issues
Performs other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Litigation practice experience
Able to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism and client-service orientation
Thorough knowledge of software used in the electronic discovery process.
Experience with Relativity preferred
Detailed knowledge of litigation and related discovery processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable effective and professional communication with clients, colleagues, and vendors
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to effectively present information to management
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
Working knowledge of enterprise-class production IT systems such as Exchange email, ERP systems, and SharePoint
