DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING & ADVERTISING, Graduate Enrollment Job Description The Director of Digital Marketing & Advertising is responsible for the development and execution of a cohesive and comprehensive digital marketing and advertising strategy to support Boston University's enrollment goals for its 250+ masters and professional programs across its schools and colleges. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Strategic & Digital Marketing, a central marketing leadership role within the Provost's Office, this position will serve as BU's in-house digital advertising leader and subject-matter expert. As the implementor of this new and essential in-house function, the Director will be responsible for setting the overarching strategy while also contributing to executional efforts as needed. The function is expected to evolve and expand over time in response to institutional needs and priorities. The Director will be responsible for establishing an internal Center of Excellence (COE) that partners with BU's schools and colleges to improve and maximize the university's return on investment in the digital marketing space. The COE will be responsible for strategic planning as well as driving real-time and local decision-making to optimize school/college advertising efforts. This position will also play a key role in the implementation and leveraging of Slate CRM to enhance university-wide visibility into the ROI of advertising on enrollment efforts. Additionally, the role provides strategic influence toward organic marketing efforts, ensuring coordination between paid and organic initiatives to optimize results. This role requires deep expertise in contemporary digital advertising as it will oversee all aspects of paid digital advertising, including strategy, implementation, analysis, vendor management, and university-wide trafficking taxonomy governance. As a key leader in the central Graduate Enrollment unit, the Director will provide strategic guidance and influence to ensure that all digital initiatives enhance the brand, drive engagement, and achieve measurable results to increase enrollment in BU's master's programs.
