This is a unique opportunity to become the technical leader of a new team — shaping architecture, choosing technology, and mentoring future engineers — as they move from a side project into a scalable, enterprise-grade platform. Data is a key piece to client future, and they are investing in it now by hiring a Principal Data Engineer to kickstart this function. What You’ll Do: Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable AWS-native data pipelines and platforms. Select the right tools and technologies to handle growing data volumes and complexity. Develop robust, reliable, and observable batch and real-time pipelines. Advocate for best practices in data, from data quality and governance to security and compliance. Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineers to enable insightful, trustworthy data products. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to a Senior Engineer and future team members. Shape the future roadmap for our data stack and team.
