The Position – Commercial Service Electrician

We are seeking a skillful, reliable and experienced commercial service electrician. Must have experience in commercial electrical service work with solid electrical skills and knowledge. This position entails troubleshooting to clear problems, installation of interior and exterior lighting, dedicated circuits and receptacles, as well as other electrical functions. Our ideal candidate is a responsible, customer service-oriented person with a good driving record. Commercial Service Electricians typically perform scheduled service calls independently or as a pair with an emphasis on high-quality work and safety. Preferred candidates are familiar with all commercial and industrial electrical phases. The Commercial Service Electrician plans methods and procedures for the safe installation of the electrical system including coordination with owners and facility managers. Ensuring work orders are completed in a productive manner, our Commercial Service Electricians maintain a harmonious and productive attitude towards other employees and clients. A desire to learn and a positive attitude are required. This position will report directly to the Commercial Service Manager.

The day-to-day duties of the Commercial Service Electrician include:

• Performing routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Troubleshooting outages
• Adhering to all quality and safety codes
• Familiarity with codes and installation specs for the South Florida area.
• Proficient use of electrical hand tools
• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment including the use of electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Installation and repair electrical systems and fixtures
• Installation of various types of panel and services
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Other duties as assigned

Key Characteristics of the Commercial Service Electrician

• Licensed Electrician 2+ years of experience, preferably in the commercial and industrial arenas
• Experienced in running a service truck, commercial and industrial electrical
• Professional appearance, ability to use a Smart Phone/Tablet, willingness to work safely, great attitude, and ambition to grow
• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment, including electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, and the need for required adjustments, or repairs to ensure compliance with local and national codes
• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatuses, and fixtures, ability to run conduit with precision using hand tools and power tools
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements
• Demonstrate and uphold all of Eau Gallie Electric’s core values: Relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement, and community
• Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Journeyman’s License, OSHA Training, Driver’s License

Pay

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: Competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits package
• Bonus incentives (to be explained by direct manager)

Vacation and Holiday

• 7 days Paid Time Off (PTO) (includes both vacation and sick time); employees receive 12 days of PTO after 5 years of service, PLUS
• 9 Major Holidays paid (New Years, Memorial Day, July 4 th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve)
• Eau Gallie Electric Bonus Week (1 additional week of Paid Time Off (PTO) during the week between Christmas and New Years to spend with your family and friends).

Insurance and Retirement

• 100% company paid health insurance.

• $75,000 in life insurance (paid for by the company)

Continuing Education

• Company paid journeyman and master electrician education courses (paid for by the company)

Minimum Requirements

The Commercial Service Electrician shall meet the following minimum requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with own reliable transportation is required.
• 2+ years of experience working as an electrician.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Positive interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with others collaboratively
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.

· Previous OSHA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification is a plus

• Other duties as assigned.
