Title: Clinical Research Pharmacist

Location: Secaucus, NJ (On-site required)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and detail-oriented Clinical Research Pharmacist to oversee all pharmacy-related activities in support of clinical trials conducted at Frontage Clinical Services. This role is essential in ensuring investigational drug products are handled, stored, dispensed, and documented in full compliance with sponsor requirements and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be based onsite in Secaucus, NJ, and will contribute to developing pharmacy SOPs and manuals, while supporting cross-functional clinical teams throughout the study lifecycle.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for investigational product (IP) inventory control, accountability, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of IPs in accordance with protocol and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee preparation and dispensing of investigational study medications under sterile conditions when applicable.
  • Implement and enforce pharmacy access control; maintain documentation of authorized personnel.
  • Coordinate appropriate drug disposal procedures at the conclusion of each study.
  • Manage and document clinical drug packaging and labeling for specific protocols, as requested by the sponsor or Principal Investigator.
  • Collaborate with study teams to ensure pharmacy procedures align with sponsor protocols; review sponsor-specific medication handling requirements and escalate discrepancies if needed.
  • Provide input into protocol development for the clinical supplies section when requested.
  • Ensure all pharmacy records are audit-ready and compliant with GCP, ICH, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a secure, organized, and inspection-ready pharmacy environment.

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy school.
  • Current Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist; clinical research or investigational product handling experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be experienced with writing clinical research pharmacy manuals.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Secaucus, NJ.
  • Proficient in computer use to support pharmacy functions, including preparing and maintaining clinical documents, spreadsheets, and operational logs.
  • Strong understanding of GCP, FDA, and ICH guidelines as they relate to investigational product management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional clinical teams.

Salary: $150,000- $180,000
