The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for a variety of duties to assist in the preparation and packaging of medications, distribution and delivery of medications, supporting the maintenance of proper inventory levels and, keeping appropriate records and documentation.

Requirements :

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered in the State of Maryland as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of one year hospital or institutional Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Completion of pharmacy provided orientation and training and demonstrated competence in knowledge, skills, and abilities is required within sixty (60) days of hire date under minimal supervision.
  • Must obtain a national certification from one of the following Maryland Board of Pharmacy approved programs within 90 days of hire.
    • Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)
    • Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT)
    • National Health Career Association (NHA)
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Salary Range: Minimum $24.34 per hour - Maximum $28.12 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
