Canada Tire Pro is a trusted tire supplier dedicated to providing high-quality tires and exceptional service to retailers, auto shops, and individual customers across the entire Alberta region. We focus on efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

We are looking for a reliable Cashier to join our team in Calgary, AB. This role involves operating a computerized point-of-sale system, creating sales orders, accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, and collaborating with our warehouse team to coordinate item organization and order readiness. Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide helpful, friendly service
• Create sales orders using the inventory system and assist customers in selecting the right tires
• Provide pricing, process payments (cash, card, and e-transfer), and issue receipts
• Ensure accuracy in cash handling and change distribution
• Regularly review and monitor open orders, including delivery orders, to ensure they're processed on time
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to keep inventory organized (no lifting required)
• Identify and correct any order or payment errors in the system
• Assist customers with product returns and exchanges
• Maintain the workspace clean and organized
• Handle customer concerns professionally
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent English communication skills with a positive and friendly manner
• Detail-oriented with strong basic math skills
• Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and handling data entry
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a strong work ethic
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and stay motivated
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or warehouse coordination is considered an asset

Physical requirements:

• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including areas with the typical smells associated with tires and rubber.

Experience:

• Sales: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Job Types:

• Full-time, Fixed-term contract. This position is offered as a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.
