This position reports to Regional Business Blending Line Manager Your role and responsibilities Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead and/or design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Blending & Formulation Systems business line both in US and Global projects, providing technical support, details, and deliverables to our existing and prospect customers. The work model for the role can be either hybrid or remote. #LI-hybrid #LI-remote This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Energy Industries Division in either Houston, TX or Cleveland, OH. You will be mainly accountable for: Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Qualifications for the role 2 or more years of experience in engineering, working with PLC and/or DCS systems is preferred, but not required. 2 years of experience in Batch MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) in across the market is also preferred. Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements for small to medium complex projects Developing and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with safety regulations and contractual requirements Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline Supporting contract managers in issuing claims related to changes in project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts as well as risk quantifications Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in the US and in Global projects Candidates must already have a work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
