Immediate opportunity for a talented Biologist to provide support for high-throughput entomology testing platforms via application of basic biological concepts and procedures. As the selected candidate, you will have the opportunity to work with a global leader in agricultural research.
This is a fully onsite position in St. Louis, MO. Local candidates are preferred as reloction cost reimbursement is not available for this position.
Daily responsibilities include the production of various solutions and artificial diets for insect bioassays, care of plants in a growth chamber and/or greenhouse setting, setup and scoring of insect bioassays and data entry. The usage and upkeep of laboratory equipment along with general lab/CE cleaning.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in biology, entomology, plant physiology or related field of study. Experience in agricultural biotechnology or automation/robotics is a plus.
Key competencies include basic understanding of the principles of plant and animal life, attention to detail, results orientation, customer focus, teamwork, strong written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills. The successful applicant should be flexible, self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to work independently or as part of a diverse team.
