What We Want

We are looking for an Android developer interested in building performant mobile apps. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications and coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort so a dedicated team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

What You'll Do

● Design and build advanced mobile Android applications.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and build to meeting business/functional needs.

● Provide consultive direction to the development team and enforce best practices and standards.

● Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.

● Integrate GraphQL queries and mutations into front end applications to efficiently fetch and update data.

● Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices, maintainability, and quality of codebase.

● Stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies and trends.

● Complete two-week sprints and participate in sprint retrospectives and daily standups.

● Work with modern tools including DevOps, Teams, Git, Google Docs, etc.

● Be part of a community of front end developers who share knowledge and help each other as problems arise.

What We're Looking For

● Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT

● 3+ years of professional software development experience.

● An understanding of Android best practices and a commitment to following them.

● Expert at Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines

● Ability to write reusable, effective, and scalable UI components.

● Ability to write GraphQL queries and mutations.

● Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.

● Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both regarding estimates and to the general process.

● Ability to identify with company goals and dedicate yourself to delivering on the commitments you and your team make to them.

● Preferred skills with Swift, and SwiftUI or UIKit for iOS development

● Preferred skills in React
