Administrative Medical Assistant needed in San Jose, CA.

  • Take and record manual vital signs
  • Administer injections as directed by the physician
  • Administer and take accountability for insurance verification processes and medication prior authorizations.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Answer phones
  • Greet patients with a positive attitude
  • Ensure all forms and consents are completed by patient
  • Manage tasks in EHR inbox/e-mails
  • Process medication prior authorizations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
  • Must have experience with insurance verification process and medication prior authorizations. This is required. No exceptions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a team player!
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times.
  • Must be detail oriented/goal oriented
  • Must be able to take manual vital signs. Required.
  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • CPR certified-BLS
